“Working at the mansion brought to light how much Maíse longed for comfort in her life – such a big and cozy house, lavender smell and large plush rugs spread throughout the living rooms and bedrooms; large bathrooms with shiny walls. Soft and fragrant beds; pleasant air conditioning. She never felt cold or hot. It was hard to face the troubles in her hovel after spending a night in the comfort of that mansion. It was interesting that such a lively and modern mansion did not match owner's personality. The neighbor was an energetic tall squared face woman, hair tied in an impeccable bun, formal clothes and dark neutral colors, thin lips always in a straight line, that were only slightly opened to give orders and answer in a few words the questions that Maíse shyly dared to ask. The questions were always directed to general issues, such as whether the boss wanted something, whether the children would like to be with her in the room.
